Recently, I traded out a couple Tunze Nano Stream 6045's and some cash for a Vortech MP20. I already had a Vortech MP40W on the left side of the tank and the second Vortech has made a big difference. The width of flow and undertow just cant be touched by any other pump out there. You really cant judge all pumps by GPH(gallons per hour) anymore because the Vortech has completely changed the rules of the game. If you already own a Vortech pump then you know that 3000GPH from the Vortech and 3000GPH from a different pump are not the same. The other pumps push out water in a narrow stream which lead to dead spots and harm to corals. The Vortech on the other had literally moves the entire body of water in your tank, enveloping your corals with life giving aid and respiration.

Polyp extension on my corals has increased and dead spots of low flow are now gone. I have both pumps currently running in Lagoon mode and am very happy with the results.

I highly recommend these pumps to anyone looking for increased flow, growth, and system health.
